We believe in the power of movement
Through movement we can find our way back to things we miss doing and we can find our way to things we never knew existed for us.
Our team
Catherine Murray (she/her) – Clinical Pilates Instructor
Jason Lee (he/him) – Registered Physiotherapist
Katie Evans (she/her) – Registered Physiotherapist
Our practice is guided by these values
Safety
Physical and emotional safety are first and foremost to create an environment where healing can occur. We want to hear from you what it looks like to safely play, explore, learn, heal, and grow.
Humility
Our training is rigorous and yet, we see clients as masterminds of their bodies. Let’s be partners in creating a place where safe movement and healing can occur.
Listening
We’ll give you time and cues to listen to your body and we’ll listen to you with openness about what comes up. We want to get to know you and your goals.
Empowerment
We want to set you up for success. We’re here to help you to meet the demands of your life, however you define them, with strength, power, and fearlessness.
How Embodied came to be
Embodied Physiotherapy and Pilates was born out of the need to see changes in the field of physiotherapy and healthcare.
What this looks like at Embodied:
- We don’t just treat specific joints. We treat whole humans and their whole bodies and minds.
- We want to empower clients so they aren’t reliant on a practitioner.
- We are deeply committed to collaborative healthcare.
- We seek to challenge ways in which healthcare dynamics do not serve the common good of the client.
