Physiotherapy Chronic Pain Clinic in Vancouver

Our Vancouver-based physiotherapy chronic pain programs are designed to help individuals manage pain through gentle movement and targeted exercises. Our goal is to empower you with tools to move safely and confidently while understanding your body’s capabilities.

Chronic Pain Group Sessions

We offer two ongoing group sessions at our clinic in Vancouver designed to support people living with persistent pain. These sessions combine gentle movement, education, and somatic practices in a safe, supportive environment.

Moving with Chronic Pain

This in-person class runs every Wednesday at 6 pm at our Vancouver studio. The lights are low, the pace is slow, and you’re encouraged to move in a way that works for your body. You’ll need a yoga mat and should be able to get up and down from the floor independently. Expect guided pacing strategies, comfort-based props, and a combination of floor-based and standing movements.

Restore in 30

This 30-minute online class runs on Fridays at 12:45 pm. It’s ideal if you feel overwhelmed by long sessions or just want something shorter to start. You’ll explore breathwork, somatic tracking, and self-facilitation exercises in a calm, structured way—all from the comfort of home. These live classes are streamed from Vancouver and accessible from anywhere.

*Please note, we have put our classes on hold until fall 2025, stay tuned here or sign up for our newsletter*

FAQs

1. Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. These sessions are open to the public and can be joined at any time.

2. What is chronic pain?

Chronic pain is pain that persists for longer than three months—even after the body’s tissues have had time to heal. It can be steady, intermittent, or move around the body. Chronic pain often involves changes in how the nervous system processes signals. Our sessions are informed by current pain science and designed to help you explore movement safely and gently.

3. Is this a chronic pain clinic?

While Embodied is not a chronic pain clinic in the traditional sense, we offer many of the same supports—movement-based care, education, and therapeutic approaches that help people manage pain in real-world ways.

4. What if I can’t do all the movements?

That’s totally okay. Our sessions are built to be adaptable. You’ll always be encouraged to listen to your body and go at your own pace.

5. Can I join if I use assistive devices or have mobility limitations?

Yes. For in-person classes, we ask that you’re able to get up and down from the floor on your own. For online sessions, you’re welcome to stay seated or lie down for the entire class.
